Welcome to the 8th POMS-HK International Conference.
The POMS-HK International Conference is an annual event run by the POMS Hong Kong Chapter. With the hard work and support of colleagues in Hong Kong and beyond, it has become a successful platform for scholars, students and practitioners to exchange ideas and share latest research findings.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Boundless Opportunities in Operations Management.” Production and operations management (POM) is an intensely active field with research topics spanning from traditional areas such as manufacturing, logistics, services and supply chain management to emerging areas such as health care, behavioral operations, sustainability and social responsibility. There are truly boundless opportunities for the POM community to pursue meaningful research that can make a great impact on the society. We are excited that two renowned scholars, Professor Awi Fudergruen of Columbia University and Professor Hau Lee of Stanford University, have agreed to be the keynote speakers of the conference.
